Xavier Lee, Chairman
Mr. Lee was elected to the Board of Directors and named the Chairman of the Board in 2005. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Lee served in various management positions at China Development Industrial Bank ("CDIB"), most recently as First Vice President & General Manager of Direct Investment Division (1997–2003), and Overseas Business and Project Finance Divisions (2001–2003). CDIB is widely regarded as the investment finance powerhouse in Taiwan. Mr. Lee has built up a wealth of experience in high-tech investment and his success is evident from the prosperous financial returns generated from the portfolio companies.
In 2006, Mr. Lee personally led a venture project in Tianjin, China, establishing Tianjin Airport Hua-Yu Air Cargo Terminal Co., Ltd. ("TAT") which Lufthansa Cargo joined a venture partner in 2008. Mr. Lee also serves as Chairman of the Board of TAT.
Mr. Lee holds an M.B.A. from Syracuse University, U.S.A., and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Tunghai University, Taiwan.
Capt. Y. L. Lee, Director
Capt. Lee was elected to the Board of Directors in 2006. Capt. Lee is a highly regarded chief executive in the aviation industry. Capt. Lee retired as Chairman of China Airlines in 2004. He had assumed that position in 2000 after having been Chairman and President of Far Eastern Air Transit Co. Ltd. since 1998.
Capt. Lee has long been an advocate for aviation safety and his contribution is widely recognized by renowned aviation organizations. Flight Safety Foundation honored Capt. Lee with "Aviation Week & Space Technology Distinguished Service Award" in 2001 and "Aviation Safety Lifetime Achievement Award" in 2003.
Capt. Lee is currently Director General of Chinese Society of Civil Aviation and Senior Advisor of Fortune System Information, Co. Ltd.
Chun Shung Chang Ph.D., Director
Dr. Chang was elected to the Board of Directors in 2005. Dr. Chang formerly served as Vice President and Dean of School of Management at I-Shou University, and Chairman of Department of Finance at National Chengchi University. A distinguished scholar, Dr. Chang had been invited to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pan-Asia Bank (1996-1998) and Director of Taiwan Stock Exchange (1989-1992).
Dr. Chang holds a Ph.D. from University of Maryland U.S.A., and is a professor of Graduate Institute of Finance at Shih-Chien University.
Hugo Chiu, Director
Mr. Chiu was elected to the Board of Directors in 2006. Mr. Chiu served as President of Kuo Yang Construction Company, a public traded company renowned for its leadership in real estate development. He is a Director of HanShin Department Store Co., Ltd. and an Independent Director of Sintek Photronic Corp. Mr. Chiu also has extensive experience in financial services industry; he had previously served as Senior Vice President of First Taisec Securities and Vice President of Fu-Hwa Securities.
Mr. Chiu holds an M.B.A. from University of Houston U.S.A., and a Bachelor of Business Administration from National Chengchi University, Taiwan.
Michael Liu, Director
Mr. Liu was elected to the Board of Directors in 2008. Mr. Liu serves as General Manager of National Taiwan University Innovation & Incubation Co., Ltd. He is an Independent Director of Professional Computer Technology Limited and Wieson Technologies Co., Ltd. Previously served as Vice President of WK Technology Fund, a prominent venture capital firm in Taiwan; Mr. Liu is highly regarded in the investment industry.
Mr. Liu holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering from Fu-Jen Catholic University, Taiwan.
Jason Han, Ph.D., Supervisor
Dr. Han was elected Supervisor in 2005. Dr. Han is an associate professor and serves as Dean of the Department of Shipping and Transportation Management at National Penghu University. Dr. Han has many years industry experience as well. He had held various positions at Poseidon-Europe Freight Co., Ltd., U-Ming Marine Transport Corp., and Rui-Hwa Marine Works Co. previously.
Dr. Han holds a Ph.D. from National Taiwan Ocean University.
Bruce Liu, CPA, Supervisor
Mr. Liu was elected to the Board of Directors in 2005. After serving two terms Mr. Liu was elected Supervisor in 2010. Mr. Liu serves as Partner at Chung Sun Certified Public Accountants. He is an Independent Director of INPAQ Technology Co. Ltd. Mr. Liu is also a faculty member of Department of International Business Studies at National Chi Nan University, and a faculty member of Department of Accounting at Hsing Wu College.
Mr. Liu holds a Master of Accountancy from National Chengchi University, Taiwan.
David Feng, Supervisor
Mr. Feng was elected Supervisor in 2008. Mr. Feng is a private investor. He had formerly served as Senior Vice President of Finance Division at China Development Industrial Bank, and Mutual Fund Manager at China Securities and Investment Trust.
Mr. Feng holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan.
